These facilities were chosen for their excellent service, particular attention to accessibility, modernity, conveniences and authentic San Marino hospitality.

Hotels and other accommodation offer a splendid example of San Marino hospitality and welcoming.

The Grand Hotel San Marino is a four-star hotel located just outside the walls of the historic centre. The hotel can be reached by car and offers its guests a vallet service and the possibility of parking in the garage on floor -1 (19 Euro per day). 

Alternatively, you can park your car at a convention rate on the street in front of the building and in the neighbouring public car parks 4, 5, 6 and 7. There are 2 spaces reserved for disabled persons in car park number 5 and 1 in the car park in front of the hotel. 

The entrance to the hotel is wide and has a central revolving door and a 120 cm wide side door. Both entrances are preceded by a 3.5 cm threshold. Outside, there is an unmarked bell placed 131 cm above the ground.

The 5-storey building has two lifts connecting the -1 floor and the third floor. To reach the top floor, however, it is necessary to climb a flight of 11 steps of 17 cm each.

The lifts have an automatically opening door with a time delay of more than 4 seconds, 80 cm wide and cabins measuring 96 cm x 138 cm one and 105 cm x 137 cm the other. They are equipped with a visual floor arrival signal and an internal Braille push-button panel at a height of 108 to 128 cm, while the external push-button panel is 118 cm high.

On the ground floor, all rooms are connected without obstacles. Inside the building the path is totally level and there is seating in the common areas.

The reception has a counter that is 115 cm high in the central part and 84 cm high in the side part. The hotel has a touch screen type mobile pos and there is a luggage room for staff use only. 

The hotel has a bar with a counter height of 113 cm and furnished with square tables with central legs and 73 cm of useful space underneath, while the large restaurant and breakfast room is furnished with square mobile tables with side legs sufficiently spaced apart and round tables with central legs and 70 cm of useful space underneath. The breakfast buffet is 76 to 126 cm high, and some buffet tables have clearance underneath of not less than 70 cm.

The restaurant provides high chairs for children and caters for special dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, children’s menu). Baby bottles and baby food provided by the customer can be heated on request.

The restaurant is also open to external customers, with access via the restaurant entrance to the right of the main entrance. The restaurant entrance has a hinged door preceded by a 2.5 cm threshold.

On the ground floor there is also the Camino meeting room, which can accommodate from 30 to 200 people, with video projector, screen, sound system and microphones. On the -1 floor is the Guaita meeting room, which can accommodate up to 120 people, and the Yoga room, equipped with loungers.  

The hotel has 61 rooms, four of which are adapted for guests with motor disabilities and are located on the first floor. Adapted rooms Nos. 113, 114 and 115 are doubles that can be converted into doubles, with 58 cm high movable beds and the possibility of turning on all sides, while adapted room No. 116 is a triple room.

The entrance doors of the four adapted rooms have single doors 73 cm wide with an electronic card lock (key reader height 143 cm). The rooms are large enough for a full wheelchair rotation. The path inside the rooms is totally level and free of obstacles. The wardrobe has shelves at 42 cm and the clothes rail is at 163 cm. The rooms have a desk with a maximum height of 76 cm and free height underneath of 62 cm. The beds are 56 cm high with an approach from the front and from both sides. There is a telephone on the bedside table to connect to the reception in case of need and the waste bin is not pedal operated. The light switch is located at a height of 70 to 140 cm while the card reader to activate the current is 107 cm high (117 cm in room no. 116).

The bathroom in the adapted rooms, with a 68 cm entrance via a single sliding door, is equipped with a 48 cm high WC with the possibility of frontal approach; the flush button and roll holder are in a convenient and easy position. The WC has no fixed side handles or tilting bar. The washbasin is wall-hung, positioned 82 cm above the floor and has 77 cm of free space underneath. It has sufficient frontal approach space, has a lever tap and the mirror is positioned between 90 and 170 cm. The shower in these rooms is flush with the floor with a depth of more than 160 cm. It is equipped with grab bars and acoustic emergency devices. The tap is lever-operated and the hand shower is adjustable in height. The bathroom is large enough to rotate and has easily accessible towel rails.

On the third floor is the sun terrace with a 73-cm entrance door, which is connected to the third floor with three 20-cm steps. The terrace has a covered area and an open-air area, furnished with a whirlpool tub that can be reached by climbing 3 steps of 17 cm with a handrail on the right.

On the fourth floor is the Medical Slimming Centre, which is not accessible to persons with mobility disabilities as it can only be reached by stairs.

Pets are welcome and have a daily fee of 4 Euro.

Hotel Titano is located in the heart of the historic centre of San Marino, along a slope with a 10% gradient. The hotel does not have a private car park as it is inside the historic centre, but has an agreement with the public car parks for a daily fee of Euro 4. The closest car park to the hotel is P5. 

The structure is accessed via two entrances, both with a step ranging from 5 to 24 cm. 

The first entrance has a sliding door 80 cm wide, which is followed by a step. The second entrance, on the other hand, has a sliding door 115 cm wide, which is followed by a ramp of approximately 135 cm with a slope of 20%. 

The structure has several floors, connected by a lift with a single door and a 95 cm wide entrance. The interior cabin is 97 cm wide and 118 cm deep. The raised push-button panel is located at a height between 118 and 140 cm from the ground. There is no audible landing signal. 

Inside the structure, the route is difficult due to the presence of many steps. 

On the ground floor is the reception with a 102 cm high balcony. The reception is equipped with a touch screen mobile pos for payments. 

Also on the ground floor is the breakfast room with 80 cm high mobile tables with a free space underneath of 61 cm. The buffet counter is 80 cm high but the space underneath is less than 70 cm. A high chair for children is present. The facility can cater for specific dietary requirements such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free diets. 

There are toilets in the common areas but they are not accessible; the women’s one is on the ground floor but very narrow while the men’s one is between two flights of stairs. 

The hotel has one room equipped for people with disabilities, located in the Titan Suites part of the hotel. Room No. 302 is reached from the lobby via a ramp with a 9% incline. 

The entrance door to the room is 80 cm wide with a sliding door and handle at a height of 96 cm. The lock is with an electronic card and the height of the key reader is 111 cm from the floor. The room has a double bed and sufficient space to make a full turn with the wheelchair. The path inside the room is totally level. The wardrobe has drawers between 90 and 150 cm, the desk is 75 cm high with space underneath of 70 cm. The bed is 58 cm high and can be approached from both sides. The light switch is 102 cm from the floor and the reader where you insert the card to activate the current is 126 cm from the floor. The bathroom door is sliding and 80 cm wide. The washbasin is shelf-mounted and positioned about 80 cm from the floor with space underneath of at least 70 cm. The faucet is lever-type and the mirror is between 90 and 170 cm from the floor. The toilet has a height of 43 cm. The grab bar is on the right and the approach space is possible on the left. The flush button and toilet roll holder are in convenient and easy positions. The shower is flush with sliding doors and a grab bar. There are acoustic emergency devices. The hand shower is height adjustable and the tap is lever-operated. The bathroom is wide enough for full wheelchair rotation. 

Animals are welcome but for an extra fee.

The Regent Boutique Hotel & Spa enjoys a strategic location, as it is situated 5 km from the historic centre of San Marino and 2 km from the cable car. Moreover, it is easily accessible from the motorway.

Private uncovered parking is available at street level, at a distance of less than 50 metres from the entrance. The cost is 8 Euro per day.

The facility has an accessible and unobstructed street-level entrance. The entrance door is 160 cm wide, has double leaves and is automated with a time delay of no less than 4 seconds.

The facility has 3 floors, which are interconnected by a lift. The lift has an entrance door of approximately 80 cm with a width of 107 cm and a depth of 111 cm. The push-button panel is 114 cm above the ground and in relief. There is no audible arrival signal on the floor.

On the ground floor is the reception with a 91 cm high counter. The hotel has a touch screen mobile pos terminal for payments. On the same floor is the bar, with a counter 107 cm high. 

Also on the ground floor are communal toilets accessible to persons with mobility disabilities. The door is 77 cm wide with a single sliding door. The light switch is 104 cm from the floor. The washbasin is shelf-mounted and positioned 80 cm from the floor with 74 cm free space underneath. The mirror is located between 90 and 170 cm. The seat is 50 cm high with a horizontal handle on the right. There is a non-pedal waste bin and a soap dispenser in an easily accessible position.

The breakfast room is located on floor -1 and has movable tables with an underlying height of 70 cm. The buffet is located at a height of 76 to 90 cm from the floor. There are trolleys for carrying trays and high chairs for children. The hotel provides special menus for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free (non-certified coeliacs), lactose-free and children’s menus. 

The hotel has 4 adapted rooms (larger, but with a step to access the shower tray) and 2 equipped rooms.

The equipped rooms are No. 110 and No. 112 and are both located on the ground floor.

Room 110 is a double room that can be converted into a twin room. The entrance door is 87 cm wide and has a handle at a height of 113 cm from the floor. The electronic card reader to open the door is located at a height of 113 cm. In the room there is a desk with a support table 79 cm high and free space underneath of 65 cm. The bed can be approached from both sides, is 57 cm high and has a semi-rigid mattress.

The waste bin is not pedal-operated and there is a telephone for emergency calls.

The bathroom door is sliding and 87 cm wide. The washbasin is bracketed and positioned 78 cm from the floor with space underneath of 72 cm. It has frontal approach space of at least 80 cm and the faucet is a lever faucet. The mirror is between 90 and 170 cm from the floor and towels and soap are in an easily accessible position.

The toilet is 51 cm high with grab bars on both sides (left and right).

The shower is flush with a grab bar and fixed and movable seat. There is an acoustic emergency device, the hand shower is height adjustable and the tap is lever-operated. It has soap in a reachable position and a pressure soap dispenser.

The bathroom is wide enough to make a full turn with the wheelchair.

Room 112 is triple, with a double bed (convertible into two single beds) and a single bed. The entrance door is 87 cm wide and has a handle at a height of 113 cm. The electronic card reader to open the door is placed at a height of 113 cm from the floor. In the room there is a desk with a support table 80 cm high and free space underneath of 66 cm. The bed can be approached from both sides, is 57 cm high and has a semi-rigid mattress.

The light switch is 89 cm from the floor and the reader where you insert the card to activate the current is 147 cm high.

The waste bin is not pedal-operated and there is a telephone for emergency calls.

The bathroom door is sliding and 84 cm wide. The washbasin is bracketed and positioned 78 cm from the floor with space underneath of 71 cm. It has frontal approach space of at least 80 cm and a lever tap. The mirror is between 90 and 170 cm from the floor and towels and soap are in an easily accessible position. The toilet is 50 cm high with grab bars on both sides (left and right). The shower is flush with a grab bar and fixed and movable seat. There is an acoustic emergency device, the hand shower is height adjustable and the tap is lever-operated. It has soap in a reachable position and a pressure soap dispenser. The bathroom is wide enough to make a full turn with the wheelchair.

Pets are allowed in the facility at a cost of 10 Euro per day.

The San Marino iDesign is a modern four-star hotel located approximately 1 kilometre from the old town centre, which is easily accessible by car or on foot. 

There are several parking spaces in front of the entrance, on paved surfaces with a gradient of approximately 8 per cent, while on the opposite side of the road there is a free parking area at the side of the carriageway on asphalt and gravel ground. A pedestrian crossing in front of the hotel allows people to cross the road.

The hotel has a large entrance with an automatic sliding door, which is accessed via a ramp with an 8% gradient and a 3 cm step. Outside, there is an unmarked bell placed 133 cm above the ground.

The building has 7 floors connected by a lift, from floor -2 to floor 5 (door width 76 cm, interior car dimensions 123 cm x 142 cm), with a visual signal of arrival at the floor and an embossed internal push-button panel.

On the ground floor all rooms can be reached without obstacles: the reception area, with a counter 116 cm high, the exhibition room with several works of art on display and seating in the vicinity, and the breakfast room-bar, with a counter 120 cm high. The dining area is furnished with square tables with a central foot and 71 cm useful space underneath. The buffet where breakfast is served is a maximum of 90 cm high. A large hinged door provides access to the outside veranda with several tables (table height 74 cm and usable space underneath 70 cm) where breakfast can be enjoyed. 

The hotel also offers breakfasts with products for vegans, vegetarians, lactose-intolerant people and gluten-intolerant people.

There is also an unequipped toilet on the ground floor. The entrance door is 76 cm wide, and the bathroom has a 43 cm high toilet with a 78 cm frontal and 60 cm right-hand side option. The ante-bathroom has a washbasin with 105 cm high taps and 85 cm useful space underneath. 

The light is switched on with a motion sensor.

The hotel has 27 rooms, of which 1 is equipped for people with motor disabilities and 3 are adapted as they are wider.

Rooms Nos. 104, 204 and 304, located on three different floors, are double rooms that can be converted into twin rooms and have beds that are 49 cm high, with the possibility of being accessed from all sides. The door to the rooms is 76 cm wide and the handle is 96 cm from the floor. The lock has an electronic card with a reader placed 96 cm from the floor.

To switch on the light, the card must be inserted into the reader inside the room located at a height of 92 cm. In the rooms there is a desk with a table 85 cm high and space underneath of 83 cm and a telephone for emergency calls.

The bathroom in the adapted rooms has an entrance door 71 cm wide and is equipped with a toilet with the possibility of frontal approach. All three bathrooms have a shower (shower size 81 cm x 101 cm), with a curtain and a 3 cm step at the entrance; a movable seat is provided on request.

The toilet has a seat 44 cm above the floor and there are no grab bars. The flush button and toilet roll holder are in easily accessible positions.

The washbasin is not shelf-mounted and is positioned at a height of 87 cm with free space underneath of 54 cm. It has a lever tap and mirror positioned at 120 cm.

The accessible room is No. 101 and is located on the first floor; it is a double room that can be converted into a twin room with a 49-cm-high bed and the possibility to approach from all sides. The toilet in the room has an 89-cm wide entrance door and is equipped with a wall-hung WC with front opening, possibility to approach from the front and left side. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a moveable seat is provided on request.

On the fifth floor is the roof terrace with direct access from the lift with a 75 cm wide entrance door.

Pets are welcome but a daily fee is charged.

The Hotel Rio Re is a family-run three-star hotel, located just under 10 km from the historic centre of San Marino. The hotel has a car park shared with some of the surrounding offices; there is no parking reserved for people with disabilities. 

The entrance to the hotel is via an 18-metre-long ramp with a slope of approximately 10 per cent. The hotel entrance door is 90 cm wide. There is also a barrier-free secondary entrance from the car park on floor -1. 

The structure has 4 floors connected by a lift whose access width is 79 cm and the interior spaces are 111 by 140 cm. The push-button panel is located at a height between 126 and 138 cm. The keyboard is in relief and there is no acoustic or visual signal of arrival at the floor. 

On the ground floor all rooms are connected without obstacles, the reception area has a counter between 70 and 110 cm high. 

On the -1 floor there is a communal toilet adapted for persons with disabilities, the sliding door of which is 86 cm wide. The washbasin is shelf-mounted and is positioned 88 cm from the floor with space underneath of 80 cm. The tap is lever-operated. The toilet seat is 54 cm high with a 56 cm projection from the wall and has a handle on the right side. 

The hotel has 1 room equipped for people with disabilities, No. 205. The room has a 78 cm wide entrance door with a handle at a height of 104 cm. There is a double bed and the space is large enough to make a full turnaround with a wheelchair. In the room there is a wardrobe with a chest of drawers placed 37 cm from the floor. The desk has a support table 78 cm high, with space underneath of 65 cm. 

The bed, 56 cm high, can be approached from the front and from the left side. The light switch is located at a height of 100 cm from the floor. 

The bathroom door is sliding and is 77 cm wide. The shelf washbasin is positioned 83 cm from the floor with space underneath of 77 cm. The tap is lever-operated and the mirror is positioned between 90 and 170 cm high. The soap dispenser is located 110 cm from the floor. 

The WC is 42 cm high and has a projection of 54 cm from the wall; it can be approached either from the front or from the side on the right. The handle is positioned on the right-hand side. The flush button is in an easily accessible position and there is a bell for the emergency call. 

The shower is flush with the floor and has a curtain; there is a wall seat or alternatively a chair. The hand shower is height-adjustable and the tap is lever-operated. 

The waste bin is not pedal-operated, towels are easily accessible 120 cm above the ground. 

Pets are welcome at the Hotel Rio Re, with a fee of Euro 10 per stay.

Hotel Silvana is located about one kilometer from the historic centre of San Marino, in the Murata area. It is strategically located in a convenient and well-positioned area, a short distance from the liveliest part of the city, but still in a quiet neighborhood. 

The hotel’s reserved car park has 8 free parking spaces for guests. 

From the car park, there is direct access to the hotel’s room area via a 5% slope ramp (119 cm x 225 cm) or a 17 cm step and a 91 cm hinged entrance door equipped with an external intercom. The front entrance to the hotel, on the other hand, has a 16 cm step that can be overcome by means of a removable wooden ramp. 

Internally, the room area and the reception/breakfast area are connected by 4 steps (2 up and 2 down). A wheelchair-impaired guest will therefore have to leave the building in order to access the breakfast and reception area. 

The building has 2 floors, the ground floor is dedicated to the reception area and the Il Piccolo restaurant, while the first floor, accessible by staircase or lift, houses the hotel’s 8 rooms, including the equipped room. The lift has a 73 cm door and the cabin is 83 cm wide and 120 cm deep. The control panel is 118 cm high and is in Braille and relief. There is an acoustic signal on arrival at the floor. 

On the ground floor, the reception desk is 83 cm high. The desk is equipped with a mobile touch screen pos terminal. There is a staffed luggage room. 

The reception and the breakfast/restaurant room are connected by a 72 cm gap and a 12 cm step. The breakfast/restaurant room is furnished with square centre-footed tables with a 72-cm space underneath and can seat 16 persons. The restaurant offers menus for vegetarians, vegans and those intolerant to lactose and gluten, and is also open to external guests, accessed through the restaurant entrance to the left of the reception area. 

The accessible room (No. 1) is accessed via a 90 cm wide door with a handle at a height of 100 cm. The electronic card reader outside the room is at a height of 118 cm. The room has a 52-cm-high double bed, with the possibility of right-hand and front access. A full rotation with the wheelchair is possible. The room has a terrace with a 4 cm threshold for access. The light switch is placed at a height between 70 and 140 cm. 

The bathroom is accessed via a 90 cm wide sliding door. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet with a 50 cm high front seat and grab bars on both sides. 

The shower is floor-standing, with a height-adjustable hand shower, curtain and folding wall seat. The washbasin is shelf-mounted and is positioned at a maximum of 80 cm from the floor with a free

space underneath of at least 70 cm. It has a frontal approach space of at least 80 cm and a mirror positioned between 90 and 170 cm from the floor. Towels and soap are easily accessible. The washbasin has a lever tap.

The room is also equipped with air conditioning, refrigerator, telephone, television and safe.

Animals are welcome in the hotel, but there is a daily fee.

Hotel Joli is a cosy 3-star superior hotel located a few steps from the historic centre of San Marino. The hotel does not have its own car park but has an agreement with the P2 public car park or P2 bus at a daily price of 4 Euro. On request, parking spaces can be reserved.

The entrance has an automatic sliding door and a 4 cm threshold, while outside there is an unmarked bell behind a tall vase.

The building has five floors connected by a lift. The latter has a door width of 80 cm, while the interior cabin measures 85 x 130 cm. The push-button panel in Braille relief is located 100 cm from the ground.

On the ground floor the rooms are connected without obstacles. The reception area has a 120 cm high counter.

On the -1 floor are the two rooms of the restaurant La Vecchia Stazione, which is also open to external customers.

The first room, which is also used as a breakfast room for hotel guests, has square tables with a 79 cm useful space underneath and an 89 cm high buffet. The second room and the toilet can be reached via 2 steps of 12 cm each or via a marble ramp with a 10% gradient (87 cm wide and 157 cm long). The toilet is not equipped and has an anteroom with a floor sink. The toilet is 45 cm high with the possibility of frontal approach. The bathroom door is 83 cm wide, the washbasin has free space underneath of at least 70 cm, has a sensor tap and soap and towels are easily accessible.

The hotel has 31 rooms, spread over 3 floors, some of which are adapted for persons with motor disabilities as they are larger but have a step for the shower and no grab bars.

On the first floor is the most usable room, No. 106, furnished with a 53-cm-high double bed with the possibility of pulling it in from all sides and enough space to add two more single beds.

The room has a terrace, with a 54-cm wide access door and a 12-cm step, refrigerator, television, telephone, safe and air conditioning.

The bathroom is not equipped and has a 68-cm wide entrance door, a 50-cm high WC with a 60-cm high frontal approach and a shower stall with a 54-cm wide entrance door and 22-cm step. The washbasin is shelf-mounted at a height of 82 cm, the tap is lever-operated and the mirror is 124 cm high.

Other rooms that are adaptable but not equipped (without grab bars, shower step and narrow passageways) are room numbers 202, 204, 301 and 305.

Small pets are welcome at a cost of 10 Euro per day.
